Pursuant to guidelines set forth by the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Foundation, women between the ages of 20 and 40 should have a Clinical Breast Exam (CBE) every one to three years and women over 40 should have a CBE every year. The CBE represents the first line of screening defense in the monitoring of breast health. However, there are limitations to a manual CBE that can result in missed lesions. Another limitation is a lack of sophistication and uniformity in providing meaningful documentation. SureTouch Breast Exam overcomes the limitations of a manual CBE and provides a new standard of care for breast exams, while conforming to today’s cost conscious and meaningful use healthcare environment.

SURETOUCH PROVIDES A NEW STANDARD OF CARE SINCE IT:

  1. Produces objective and reliable data in the area of breast mass size, hardness, and location

  2. Is less likely to miss breast abnormalities which could lead to earlier detection of breast cancer

  3. Is effective with younger women and  older women with dense breast tissue

  4. Is less likely to over identify Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) which can result in unnecessary referrals for additional screening

  5. Provides Electronic Medical Records (EMR) that allow for rapid communication of results among providers

  6. Is painless and radiation free

  7. Provides immediate peace of mind for both physician and patient when the breast is free of abnormalities

  8. Empowers physicians and patients to facilitate a course of action that can save lives when an abnormality is found.
